2 1/2 Weeks without a post…

Tuesday, September 20th, 2005

It’s been a while since I last posted. Things have started to pick up at school and there really just hasn’t been that much to write about. So, I thought I would post some links to things that have caught my eye in the past couple of weeks.

Apple released the iPod nano. I think Apple is the only company right now that can take their top selling product (which was the iPod mini) and axe it all together by replacing it with a brand new product.

Survivor Guatemala is underway. I’ve always been a huge fan of the series and I thought the first episode last week shows some good promise for the series.

While I’m talking about reality TV, tomorrow and Thursday marks the beginning of The Apprentice for Martha Stewart and Donald Trump. Should be interesting to see how these series shape up. And not to be left out, the new season of The Amazing Race begins next Tuesday.

The Barenaked Ladies are getting ready to hit the road again. It looks like a smaller venue tour this time around - but there is a stop in Calgary on December 19!

Finally, I have a journal article coming out in the October 1 issue of the American Journal of Physiology. You can check out the abstract here.

Mount Yamnuska

Saturday, September 3rd, 2005

Amanda and I, along with some friends from med school, headed out to the mountains today for a rock scramble. We went to the summit of Mount Yamnuska. We had a great day as far as weather was concerned and the scenery and company was outstanding.

You can catch all the pictures here.
